Central Illinois is known for many things in the fall. Changing leaves, apple orchards, cool air...something I didn't expect though? A lavender field! As soon as I heard about it, I packed up my family and drove out to Sharp's crossing. It was small, but my girls loved cutting their own lavender bunches and trying to catch the bugs and butterflies that were everywhere!
