an afternoon with Vera bear
One afternoon while Nick took Evelyn to see the newest Star Wars movie and Atticus was napping, Vera and I found ourselves with uninterrupted time to ourselves. She followed me into the guest room as I practiced taking pictures in the afternoon light. After a few minutes, she climbed into bed so I could "take pictures of me mama!". She loved having my undivided attention as she jumped, pretended to sleep, and laughed at my dance moves ("you're a silly goosey mama"). After that we got to snuggle on the couch with some books and her favorite show. As far as days go, this one was pretty great.
