viking cruise part 2

Thanks for all the love on my last post! If you missed it, check out Part 1 of my Viking River cruise.

Day 5: This day was much more of a travel day but the perk was you travel through castle country. It was pouring rain, so while my dad listened to the tour in the atrium. I went to my room to watch the towns from bed, jumping up a few times to get some pictures from the balcony. It was incredibly beautiful and relaxing.

Day 6: Cologne, Germany was definitely my ultimate favorite of the cities we visited. It was such an intriguing mix of old and new and there was just so much beauty hiding everywhere in the city. The best part for me was touring the area by the courthouse because everyone is required to get married there first, before they have a wedding. So the whole courtyard is full of brides, grooms, family, and friends. It's the ultimate celebration and just so fun to witness! Cologne is also home to an incredibly beautiful cathedral and a love lock bridge!

Day 7: I knew from my pre-trip research that Kinderdijk, The Netherlands was mostly a tourist stop, but I did enjoy walking around the windmills. The weather was beautiful and the quiet of the small town, was a nice change of pace from all of the big cities.

Overall it was the trip of a lifetime! I'm so glad I got to experience so many amazing countries with my dad. It was such a fun way to spend time together!
